On this page I have included some of the pictures of my Mission in Kosovo.

The picture below is of the only road to a mountain resort which was being used as the orientation training site for the mission in Kosovo in March 1999 when I first arrived. On this date we were on our way to Skopje to drop off a friend going on vacation. Luck for me I had a Mitsubitchie Pajero (AKA Montero in the USA)four wheel drive.

In the picture above we are fix'in to do a rescue.

A serb couple was stuck in the snow. The small station wagon was too low and could not pass. Two NGO Pajeros were trying to pull them out in tandum but they got stuck. A French Army jeep did not even want to try for fear of getting stuck. After we got them out of the way we hooked up the station wagon with the wench chain and pulled them out. Thus ...THE RESCUE.

One of my jobs was to interview character witnesses of candiate police officers for the Kosovo Police Services Acadamy. Some times this job took us into some very narrow country roads. This one such road. No it is not a one way road. We just lucked out that only tractors traveled them in the winter cause other vehicles could not.

This is one of the few tanks that we found after NATO went in to get the Serbs. I was told that it used to be on the road but was pushed off later to open up the road to regular traffic. I think the tank is world war two type Russian made. Russia was suppose to be part of NATO at the time of the air strikes into Kosovo and Serbia.

During the NATO Air Strikes Kosovar Albanians had to cross these moutains to reach Kukes and then be transported to Schodra, Tirana and far away Duress
